Immersed

Architectural projection

Premiere November 2026
Quartier des spectacles

Immersed is a screendance work designed for architectural projection that plays with the states of weightlessness and gravity created by water. Moving within an aquatic environment, the dancers oscillate between release and engagement, surrender and resistance. They fall, catch themselves, and push the limits of their breath. Magnified to the scale of a building, their movements reveal the beauty, fragility, and richness of these efforts. The immersed bodies offer a new perspective on the architecture of the site and, by extension, that of the city. The work invites audiences to experience movement from a perspective that is at once intimate, monumental, and deeply sensory.

Immersed is a sister work to the virtual reality film Bodies of Water.

Conceived from the same artistic impulse, the two works are intended to coexist in a complementary and convergent dialogue, each serving as a
mirror of the other.
